Week 2

Battery Specing

  • Narrowed down for sure to 2 options (that are currently available)

    • Molicel P50B​

      • Pros: Higher Cap (4.85 Ah/Cell)​

      • Cons: Higher IR (12.8 mOhm)

    • EVE 40PL​

      • Pros: Lower IR (Claim 5 mOhm)​

      • Cons: Lower Cap (4 Ah/Cell)

Pack Structure

  • Basic CAD for various ideas

    • Hexagon modules in a tube​ (likely smaller but more packs

    • V shaped packs (based on early ideas, would work well to match shape of bike and allow space for motor)

    • Parallelogram with different orientations

  • Lots of considerations including​​

    • Accessibility for swapping​

    • Allowing space for other components

    • Keeping weight low
