Auto HV Protocol

• A protocol that was approved by Virginia Tech Environmental Health and Safety that allows the bike to be high voltage without needing a student to wear high voltage gear.

• In basic terms, this works by not directly connecting battery packs together and instead having an arrangement of digital and manual switches.​

• We are aiming for roughly 400V

• We went with the Emrax 188 because it is the best in its size and power class.

• Sevcon motor controller for its price and water resistance. ​​​​​​​
